An X-Plane 12 plugin that draws a simple top-down airport overlay on the flight screen, plus taxi guidance paths from your current position to a parking stand or a runway end. It is a visual aid only and does not control the aircraft—no need to switch views to keep situational awareness of the airport layout, your position and a suggested taxi route.
Features:
Runways (thick yellow lines + official runway numbers at both ends, large and bold)
Bottom-left info line: airport ICAO code and plugin version
Parking stand guidance: generate a route from current position to a random parking stand (cyan line + green target circle)
Runway guidance: a popup window lists all runway ends at the current airport; click one to generate a taxi route from your position to that runway threshold
Landing taxi guidance (auto): automatically generates a route to a random stand after landing
Deviation recalculation: if you stray off the path (>35 m), a new route to the same target is computed automatically
Runway-surface avoidance: the route follows taxiways and does not taxi along the runway surface; runway crossings are allowed
Menu bar: access all functions from the top Plugins / AirportMap menu; menu text follows your X-Plane UI language (Chinese or English)
Hotkeys to show/hide, adjustable opacity, customizable keys
Default Hotkeys:
. — Show / hide airport map
+ — Increase background opacity
- — Decrease background opacity
Installation: Simply copy the AirportMap folder to: X-Plane 12/Resources/plugins/AirportMap/ The plugin loads automatically. On first run, an airportmap.ini file is generated for hotkey configuration.
