In September 2006, we provided the simulation community with an aircraft which was arguably one of the best commercial F-14 Tomcat packages to date. It received rave reviews from many and has become a stable airframe for countless Tomcat fans worldwide.

Now, two years later, we have taken on board the many comments they received from our customers and have put together a Tomcat package quite unlike any other.

This new product is now fully FSX Native and designed with FSX in mind! In addition many of the 2D gauges have been removed and replaced with fully 3D gauges in the cockpit allowing for both a boost in frame rates and a far crisper, smoother in cockpit experience.

The sounds have been enhanced from their original package with some new sound samples and recordings for a far more improved audio experience.

The updated animations both inside and out, and the inclusion of the F-14B aircraft are the two most requested additions to this package and author of the IRIS Pro Series F-16D Viper, Michael Haegle has provided a SUPERB F-14B HUD straight from the US Navy NATOPS Manual that is so good, we have included it in both variants!

All this hard work and dedication by the IRIS Team has resulted in what is one of the best F-14 Tomcat products available for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

One of my top 3 favorite planes. EVERYTHING IS SPOT ON!!!! It is fun to fly in any view easy to start with but the more indepth you go with it the more you will get out of the sim. Every thing is clickable in the VC complete with animiations and sounds. The skin is also beautifuly done. The only qurik I found is Abacus Paint kit wont work with it.

Mein hartes Urteil muß ich wohl wiederrufen ! Es gibt jetzt von IRIS ein Patch, mit dem offenbar alle Steuerungsprobleme behoben wurden. Bei mir läuft das Airplane jetzt absolut top. Und mit auffallend hohen fps. Besonders die Nachbrenner (inkl.Sound) wirken absolut original !!! Die F-14 macht jetzt rießen Spaß und fliegt sich ausgesprochen angenehm. Sehr gute Auflösung der Aussenzelle. Einzig das virtuelle Cockpit ermöglicht nur einen sehr schmalen Blickwinkel, ist aber sonst toll realisiert und großenteils bedienbar. Viele bewegliche Aussendetails (Klappen, Tankstutzen..), schönes Fahrwerk. Insgesamt -jetzt nachdem die bugs beseitigt sind- SEHR EMPFEHLENSWERT ! Wolfgang

Bei mir funktionieren die Steuerungen über den Joystick nicht vollständig: Schwenkflügel/Fahrwerk/Nachbrenner lassen sich nur im virtuellen Cockpit schalten. Die Realitätsnähe hält sich auch in Grenzen. Ich ärgere mich über die Preis/Leistung-Relation. Für 30,- Euro einfach nur entäuschend. So manches free-addon ist aufwändiger gemacht.
