Welcome to sunny Sicily!

Palermo LICJ is one of the main airports in southern Italy, with more than 4.7 million pax in 2014. It is linked daily with the main Italian airports and many European cities. It is a very popular summer destination for European tourists. A twice-weekly flight to New York JFK is also operated.
A huge number of airlines fly to Palermo, and in the 2000s the airport became a focus destination for several low-cost airlines, with a few building a mini-hub there.

The landscape and weather conditions make this airport very special. LICJ is surrounded by sea on three sides, and by a mountain on the last side. This creates a frequent windshear effect which can make your landings quite challenging.

I use this Scenery under latest version of P3D4.5 and must say: phantastic work, very well done. At first I had some altitude problems (maybe like other users?), the scenery seemed to be partly hidden below the original P3D-Scenery. However, I got extremely good helping informations by the developer within shortest time, so this service is excellent ! In summary it is worth the money and at least 4 stars !

I bought this today so I must admit I have not done an extensive "burn in" of this product but I did spend a couple of hours using it. Installation, in my case FSX Steam was painless and successful. I am using Nvidia 2D surround on 3 monitors and Palermo airport and surrounding areas are great but what is most impressive is that there is hardly any hit on FPS. I was not using an FSX default aircraft either but Legacy Lancair from RealAir and with my settings on medium high. Since with the purchase you also get an extensive scenery package of the surrounding area, this will make a considerable difference to VFR flight over Sicily. I did some night flying and compared to other products, this product is good but with a personal reservation. Taxiway exits are almost impossible to discern. There are blue lights bordering taxiways, if you manage to get onto one from the runway but no center green lights. Maybe this simulates the actual taxiway conditions in Palermo or this is a result of my settings. In any case, this is a minor factor and I really have no problem with it. Overall, the product is well worth the cost.

Very nice scenery and very nice location. It's also nice to see that they included a large piece of the coast line when on approach to runway 25. Only note is that there are some flickering textures at the terminal but those are not disturbing enough to not give it 5 stars!
