What Live Roads Traffic do?

SimConnect. Real roads everywhere. A world road map is the base; detailed OpenStreetMap road packs add every street where installed. Follows you. Traffic is planned around your aircraft and re-planned as you fly, from a slow paraglider to an airliner. Smart traffic. Motorways are fast, side streets slow, one-way streets are respected, cars give way at junctions, keep a safe gap in queues and drive in their own lane (left in the UK and Ireland). Live speeds. In Switzerland (with your own free key) and France, measured speeds from real road sensors are used. Safe with photogrammetry in most cases. Road corridors in the package give cars a clean road surface in photogrammetry cities. Light on frame rate. Auto density adds or removes cars to hold your target frame rate; a visible range limits cars to what you can see. Will be delivered in two versions: Free version with all major world roads covered apart from residentials roads; equipped with fully live traffic functionality. 50 vehicles; 10 motorbikes specifically designed for this kind of engine ; covers: motorways; primary; secondary; trunk. Swiss Astra / Fedro live feeds (you will need a token from their site) ; french Bison / Fute' is hardcoded by default and as soon you are in France traffic switch to live where there are sensors. Where there is no live coverage the system use a synthetic intelligent traffic management system; able to create simulate real world roads traffic situations. The system cover the whole world. Very important you follow the project as updates will come regurarly; and they are all important; all version will always include older updates. You buy the engine; that is the ticket for the bus till end of life of this project..

What is the Plan?

The plan is to achieve a roads traffic system for Msfs2024. Now we have a fully efficient modern engine; we can start to think about roads structures plan. Replacement of all bridges; either default or photogrammetry to allow traffic to cross from one side to the other without falling down; structures replacement included.

The new engine offer endless possibilities to customize traffic as we like and how our supporters like; all options are basically open; but first let engine run for a while; collect feedback; and take it from there. Engine update and mintenance will done regurarly; to iron out any issue; however the egine is healty and sound and is a very capable tool.

The engine is the essential tool for you to come onboard; it is very straight forward to use; need to read the manual that come with it; it is very important is used as it should; start from low settings test ; when you fly forget about it; is a small computer that keep calculating; the less is disturbed when you fly the better; just look it it. I will show where the vehicles exaclty are on its main panel. Fly live where live traffic feed are available or simulated traffic from the engine itself. The system is capable to switch between the two automatically. Have a feel of it and always take in consideration your system resources; the system is completely automatic and will look after your fps; if you set correctly. There is a dignostic telemetry panel; where we dignose problems if any; it is important if you need support you also send the telemetry.

We have conform to Simmarket Simminstaller; after install a folder called : live_roads_traffic should be visible inside your community folder. Leave intact; no name change as the application read the folder for art work. Inside live_roads_traffic there is a folder called: Live Roads Traffic Application; inside is all you need to run it; including the manual. Start Msfs and go to any airport; open the app set your visibility parameters; a good start is 30 fps / 3000 (the app is already set) run Msfs2024LiveRoadsTraffic.exe (can make a shortcut on desktop) . Let the engine run when you fly; Setting should be defined at start of session or every session; if the engine is disturbed in flight it have to redraw vehicles positions using resources. Start / Set / Fly.
