"RealTurb CAT Areas Global for MSFS v2" incorporates a new logic for enroute turbulence (CAT) compared to the previous version, while adding support to terrain and in-cloud turbulence!

Enroute turbulence, is not linked and limited to SIGMET's CAT or TS areas in this version 2 of RealTurb CAT Areas Global for MSFS! Instead the actual wind in the simulator, at the aircraft's position, is analyzed for any wind shifts / variations thus inducing the turbulence effects to more realistic positions (eg. where wind direction and / or speed changes). This allows to open the envelope to a global level instead of being limited to SIGMET's CAT or TS areas!

Terrain turbulence feature is also added in this version, extending the RealTurb turbulence effects also to lower altitudes, when flying near terrain (with wind blowing from the terrain direction).
An approach with wind direction being from the terrain side will now feel different compared to the approach with wind direction being from the sea or relatively flat ground.

In-Cloud turbulence is another feature, which analyzes cloud density when flying into clouds, to provide dynamic turbulence effects. In this way, a certain cloud density is required for the effects to be present in the first place, allowing also for dynamic effects strength, again based on the cloud density.

- Realistic (custom made) turbulence effects
- Custom made turbulence sounds (linked to aircraft's G Load)
- Easy installation and usage (Just install and forget - RealTurb will auto load when the simulator starts)
- No user input/setup required for the effects to work. All is analyzed automatically!

- Settings Dialog to control effects strength / altitude envelope / sounds / sounds G-Load thresholds,
if the user wants to change default values.

- Option for parameters to be saved as aircraft title specific.

BEST sim addon for feeling the REAL wind, great perf and realism

For those who appreciate immersion and realism, this is one of the best add-ons I’ve tried in FS24. Congratulations to the creator, and I hope he introduce some new features this year.

Le rendu est vraiment excellent, le vol paraît beaucoup plus réaliste. L'interface est un peu démodé mais il n'y a pas grand chose à y faire non plus... franchement, très bon logiciel et parfait en duo avec FS Realistic !

A Must have for everyone. Greatly improves realism.

Basically a recommendation. It really improves the immersion by adding a realistic level of turbulences (not exaggerated). But speaker control is really poor: neither can I adjust the volume manually (only 3 presets),. nor can I select a soundcard of my choice. So the cabine rumbling noise in turbulence situations is played at same voume level on my engine sounds sound card. _ minus 1 star Another minus for the fact, that the developer is only reachable via Facebook.

seems outdated, buggy, not working with new fs2020 or 2024 version. There is no update since 2023!!! Not recommend

Very nice effect at a realistic level. Only the audio settings could be improved by giving the choice of which loudspeaker to use and more granular volume control. Nevertheless thumb up and strong recommendation
