Die Citation Longitude ist ein zweistrahliger Super-Midsize- Geschäftsjet, der vom amerikanischen Luftfahrtunternehmen Cessna, einer Tochtergesellschaft von Textron Aviation, entwickelt und hergestellt wird. Die Citation Longitude, ein Mitglied der altbewährten Citation-Familie von Cessna, absolvierte ihren Erstflug am 8. Oktober 2016 und wurde im Oktober 2019 in Dienst gestellt. Das Modell ist bekannt für seine Geschwindigkeit, Effizienz und seinen leisen und luxuriösen Innenraum. Es bietet Platz für bis zu 12 Personen, darunter ein oder zwei Piloten im Cockpit, verfügt über modernste Avionik und Flugsteuerung und verfügt über transatlantische Reichweite.

Cessna entwickelte die Citation Longitude auf der Grundlage ihrer erfolgreichen Citation Latitude, unter anderem durch eine Verlängerung des Rumpfes der Latitude um knapp zwei Meter. Die Longitude verfügt über einen niedrig angebrachten, gepfeilten Hauptflügel, ein T-Leitwerk und am Rumpf montierte Mantelstromtriebwerke. Die Longitude verwendet das voll integrierte Garmin G5000 Flugdeck mit großen Farb-Touchscreens. Das Avionikpaket umfasst hochmoderne Flugsteuerungen, Head-up-Displays, Situationserkennungssysteme, automatischen Schub, Autopilot und Kommunikationssysteme.

Die Citation Longitude ist 22,3 Meter lang, 5,91 Meter hoch und hat eine Spannweite von 21 Metern. Sie wird von zwei Honeywell HTF7700L Mantelstromtriebwerken angetrieben, von denen jedes eine Schubkraft von bis zu 34 kN erzeugt. Die Citation Longitude hat eine maximale Reichweite von 6.482 Kilometern, eine Dienstgipfelhöhe von 13.716 Metern über dem Meeresspiegel, eine Steigrate von 24,85 Metern pro Sekunde und eine Reisegeschwindigkeit von 895 Kilometern pro Stunde.

Clarifying what I wrote below, the overhead cockpit light switches that control the external lighting have no effect on things like, NAV, Pulse, Strobe, Tail lights, etc. Also the cockpit windows have a weird effect in rain situations. If precipitation is present the windows will flash instead of showing the rain drops on the glass. If Sim Fed fixes the issues reported this could easily be a stellar effort for them. They can then go back and update the Latitude and they'll have two winners on their hands changing the whole perspective of them as a developer. Let's see what they do this time around...

Better than the default in 2020 (a note to the cockpit lighting). The model inside and out looks better. What's needed here is proper integration of the Working Title Avionics suite. TCAS needs to be fixed as it's not working, the tail light doesn't work. The light switches in general are off. The Longitude in 2020 has been the bald headed stepchild since 2020 release (door/cabin, etc). Many requested the 2024 version brought in 2020 but Asobo hasn't done it. Sim Federation picked up the ball but please properly integrate the avionics. Also fix the taxi light shining in the cockpit when retracted. It's actually better than I expected. I hope there's fixes although Sim Federation isn't known for that.

Better than the default. Able to see the cabin and open the main door. A functional HUD display with different display mode. Recommendations: - EFB tablet, incorporate the HUD display for the Cessna Lattitude and I request the cancelled Cessna Hemisphere.
