As one of the last remaining airports in the world to land directly onto the beach, Barra Airport boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the Western Isles. With the flight schedule governed by the ebb and flow of the tide – Barra is a breath of fresh air compared to other more ‘conventional’ airports in Scotland. Small airport built with custom objects; light on frame rates and a very different landing / take off location. Barra operates twice daily flights to and from Glasgow – providing a vital link for residents and visitors alike.
