The Panavia Tornado F.3, or ADV (Air Defence Variant) is the premier interceptor currently in use with the RAF. It first flew on 20th November 1985, entering service in 1986. The Tornado F.3 has also served with the AMI (Italian AF) and still serves with the Royal Saudi Air Force, though it is soon due to be replaced by the Typhoon.
